RCM – Riverina Conservatorium of Music

The Riverina Conservatorium of Music – RCM moved into its new building at 1 Simmons Street, Wagga Wagga, in February 2023. This amazing, world-class music education facility offers local, visiting, and international artists a performance venue that rivals halls across the globe.

The ambitious vision to repurpose an unused 1980s two-storey government administration building into a bespoke, fit-for-purpose music education facility required an innovative planning and design approach that was sympathetic and considerate of the site’s location in a heritage conservation area.

International Lighting collaborated with JHA Consulting Engineers to illuminate the exterior walkways around the building’s bold new façade, adhering to the strict site schedule and budget. Vizulo Heron bollards and Woodpecker pole tops were selected for the project, providing excellent illumination while their clean square form perfectly complements the linear contemporary facade.
